The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have retained Ruturaj Gaikwad as their captain for the IPL 2025 season. He was retained for ₹18 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Alongside him, CSK also retained:
- Ravindra Jadeja – ₹18 crore
- Matheesha Pathirana – ₹13 crore
- Shivam Dube – ₹12 crore
- MS Dhoni – ₹4 crore
