
Mumbai all-rounder Shardul Thakur has signed up with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for IPL 2025. Shardul replaces injured pacer Mohsin Khan in the team. LSG, under new captain Rishabh Pant, will take to the field for the first time against Delhi Capitals on Monday.
Shardul Replaces Mohsin Khan
Announcing the decision, Lucknow Super Giants stated:
"We have signed Shardul Thakur in the absence of injured left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan. We have signed Shardul for at least ₹2 crore."
Impressive Ranji Trophy Performance
Shardul performed excellently in the Ranji Trophy, scoring 505 runs and picking 33 wickets, displaying his all-round skills.
Shardul's IPL Journey
Till now, Shardul Thakur has featured in 95 IPL games with five different franchises, taking 94 wickets and scoring 307 runs. He has already played for:
- Punjab Kings
- Kolkata Knight Riders
- Delhi Capitals
- Rising Pune Supergiant
- Chennai Super Kings
Given his experience and current form, Shardul will be able to bolster LSG's ranks in IPL 2025.
