Glenn Phillips Reveals His Passion For Flying And Cricket

A Passion for Fielding and Flying

New Zealand’s star fielder, Glenn Phillips, revealed that if he had not pursued cricket, he would have become a pilot. “I am passionate about fielding, but I also have other interests. If I had the financial means, I would have made a career as a pilot. I have always loved flying. Many people dream of soaring through the skies, and I am one of them,” Phillips shared with a smile.

A Future in Aviation?

Phillips also mentioned that after retiring from cricket, he might consider becoming a pilot. “If I still need to earn money post-retirement, I will certainly take up flying professionally,” he said. His natural ability to move swiftly on the field and take spectacular catches comes instinctively to him.

Gymnastics Helped Shape His Skills

The all-rounder credited his childhood gymnastics training for enhancing his agility and fielding abilities. “Participating in different sports has helped me improve as a cricketer,” said Phillips, who currently plays for the Gujarat Titans in the IPL.
