Punjab Kings star batsman Ashutosh Sharma gives credit to captain Shikhar Dhawan for imparting life-changing lessons that transformed his attitude and strategy towards cricket. Ashutosh was inspired by Dhawan's advice while he played for Punjab in the IPL and it impacted his personal as well as professional life.
Now Delhi Capitals, after being purchased for ₹3.8 crore, Ashutosh impressed with his skill in the season-opening game against Lucknow Super Giants, hitting 66 runs in just 31 deliveries and helping Delhi win.
Looking back on his experience, Ashutosh explained, "Dhawan was overjoyed with my performance. He always tells me to stay humble and grounded. He didn't concentrate on teaching me the game but taught me things in life that changed my mindset. From my very first training camp with Punjab, he became my mentor and left a lasting impression on my career."
