Mumbai Indians are hoping for the return of their ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah, but there is some disappointing news. Bumrah is not yet fit to join the team. It is said that his injury is more severe than was first imagined, and the medical staff are monitoring his rehabilitation closely. They feel that sending him out too quickly in an unfit state might compound the issue.
At present, Bumrah is in the process of rehabilitation at the Center of Excellence, where he began practicing bowling. Nevertheless, his body is not yet ready for competitive cricket. There is no announced date for his return, but sources indicate that he may be available by mid-April.
For Bumrah to play in the IPL 2025, he needs a clearance from the Center of Excellence, which, currently, does not appear possible. Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians finally won their first victory of the season against Kolkata Knight Riders in their third attempt, having lost two in a row. Still, the loss of Bumrah remains a huge blow for the team.
