Mumbai Indians, who began this season of the IPL with two back-to-back losses, won their first match in the third game. They are now set to play the fourth game against Lucknow. But concerns regarding the form of star batter Rohit Sharma are increasing as he has been struggling in a number of innings. In the wake of mounting criticism regarding his batting, team batting coach Kieron Pollard spoke up in favor of the veteran player.
Pollard's Support to Rohit Sharma
Pollard, in favor of Rohit, stated, "I have played with Rohit since Under-19. He has created many records and inscribed his name on cricket history. He is a great cricketer. Low scores happen from time to time, but that does not imply that he is under pressure. We cannot judge him based on two weak innings. Cricket has more failures than success. But whenever he creates a big knock, we appreciate him, and then move on to something else."
Pollard further emphasized that Mumbai Indians are focused on learning how to overcome difficulties and performing better. Rohit's performances in the first three matches (0, 8, 13) have been disappointing, yet there is hope for the team.
Mumbai vs. Lucknow: Make-or-Break Encounter
Mumbai Indians play Lucknow Super Giants today. While Lucknow lost their previous game, Mumbai enters the match in high spirits after their first win. However, Lucknow captain Rishabh Pant is also not doing well and may be a problem for his team.
As both teams are eager to win, today's match will be an interesting contest.
