Aiden Markram contributed to the team performance by scoring 53 from 38 deliveries with two fours and four sixes. Hardik Pandya was the Mumbai bowler who made his presence felt with 5 wickets for 36 runs to stall LSG's procession in the latter stages.
Mumbai's Comeback Fails
Mumbai's 204-run chase went off-shade with the premature departure of openers Will Jacks (5) and Ryan Rickelton (10). Rescue was offered by Naman Dhir with a 46-run 24-ball performance, comprising four boundaries and three sixes. Suryakumar Yadav offered the anchor a gritty 67 from 43 balls. Mumbai's chase, though, was tightened up by tight bowling from LSG, spearheaded by Digvijay Rathi (1/21). With 22 required in the final over, Mumbai couldn't manage it, and remained stuck at 191 for 5.
