MS Dhoni Reiterates Wish To Join Hands With Former Teammates

Dhoni Lists Four Legends With Whom He Desires to Play Again

MS Dhoni, the erstwhile Indian cricket captain and present-day player for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025, recently expressed a wistful desire. In a podcast appearance, Dhoni conveyed that he would like to play once more with four Indian cricket legends, namely Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Yuvraj Singh.

Dhoni commented, "If given another opportunity, I would have liked to play with Sehwag, Tendulkar, Ganguly, and Yuvraj. They were integral members of the Indian team and played well in tough match situations."

He spoke of Sehwag's expertise as an opener, particularly under testing conditions. Dhoni explained that someone like Sehwag and Ganguly had immense balance for the team during tough matches.

Reminiscing Yuvraj Singh's Historic Sixes

Dhoni also looked back at the iconic 2007 T20 World Cup game vs England, during which Yuvraj Singh memorably scored six sixes off an over. He lauded all four as match-winners and expressed his desire to play alongside them for a second time.

Dhoni Keeps on Playing in IPL 2025

In IPL 2025, Dhoni is acting as a batsman and wicketkeeper for CSK. The team has, however, had a poor start, only winning one out of their initial four matches.

Responding to persistent speculation on his retirement, Dhoni disclaimed any present plans of retiring from the IPL. He attested that he will remain active until the completion of the season.
