Delhi Beats Punjab Kings in Most Super Over Wins
The Delhi Capitals have created a new record in the Indian Premier League (IPL) by winning the highest number of Super Over games. Of 15 Super Over matches played until IPL history, Delhi has won five. They now lead the table, replacing Punjab Kings, who have won three such encounters. Interestingly, Delhi has played and won four Super Over encounters by themselves.
Axar Patel on Delhi's Performance and Strategy
Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel spoke after the game. He recognized the team's good performance despite an initial slow pace and a difficult pitch.
"After the power play, we did not think we would score so much. In the first strategic timeout, the most discussion was on how hard it is to bat on this pitch. We knew new batsmen would struggle. Nevertheless, we were able to post a respectable total."
Patel further contributed that after Delhi began bowling, they expected it to be an uphill task against Rajasthan. Pressure was eased early with wickets. He focused on his overall contribution and heaped praise upon the bowling department of the team.
"Personally, I did well in both batting and bowling. We have a very good bowler in our team. If he can bowl 12 yorkers, how can we lose? That's what makes him a legend."
