Royals Dismiss Accusations After Narrow Defeat to Lucknow
The Rajasthan Royals have formally denied last week's match-fixing allegations regarding their 2-run defeat to Lucknow Supergiants on April 19. The issue arose after Jaideep Bihani, convenor of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, criticized the result of the match.
Team Denounces Public Allegations from RCA Official
Deep Rai, Rajasthan Royals' senior official, came up with a strong denial of the accusations. "We totally refute the allegations made by the convenor of the Ad-Hoc Committee. Such utterances are misleading and detrimental. They tarnish the reputation and credibility of Rajasthan Royals as well as the BCCI," Rai stated.
Concerns Over Cricket's Integrity
The franchise stressed that these remarks have not only confused the public but also damaged the integrity and reputation of cricket overall. Rajasthan Royals insist that the match was carried out fairly and that the result was strictly on-field performance.
