CSK Vs SRH: Nitish Kumar Reddy Backs SRH To Replicate RCB’s 2024 Playoff Run

SRH Defeated CSK at Chepauk to Maintain Playoff Dreams Alive

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) won their very first game in Chepauk in IPL 2025 season by virtue of a five-wicket defeat of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The crucial win remains SRH within the playoff reckoning. Having won just three out of their nine games up to now, SRH would have to sweep all their future five games if they need to make it to the knockouts.

Nitish Kumar Reddy Draws Inspiration from RCB's Past Comeback

Post-victory, SRH player Nitish Kumar Reddy spoke about the team effort and showed confidence in the team qualifying for the playoffs. He stated:

It's wonderful to beat Chennai. We will take one game at a time from here. We are confident after this victory and will try to take this momentum ahead. The Kamindu partnership was important. We had thought of completing the game steadily without taking any risks. Noor Ahmed and Khaleel Ahmed bowled well, which sealed the win for us. This was a do-or-die game for us.

Reddy also cited Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), who came late into the playoffs in 2024:

"RCB was in the same position last year. They won two consecutive matches and reached there. Why can't we do the same? If we play at 100%, we've got a genuine chance of winning all the remaining games."
