Dream of a poverty-free society

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the real Sankranti spirit is when every one in the society flourishes. He reiterated the coalition government's resolve on its slogan, policy and finally on achieving a poverty-free society. On this Sankranti, the Chief Minister called upon all to take up the resolve of "I too" to help build a "Healthy, Happy, and Developed Andhra Pradesh." The program is part of the P4 (Public, Private, and Public Partnership) program, which promises to change the lives of the underprivileged. According to him, the first goal of P4 is poverty eradication.

He challenged the residents as well as Telugu diaspora at top management levels around the world to team up and deliver for the dream. The key point made by Chandrababu is that this must be done as a collective responsibility to improve the place of birth. On Sunday, he formally launched the P4 policy document, releasing a portal where the people would give suggestions and ideas within 30 days. He extended Sankranti greetings to all Telugus worldwide.

Current Challenges of Poverty

"According to Central Government statistics, lakhs of families residing in rural and urban districts of Andhra Pradesh are facing extreme poverty still. Education, health, nutritious food, and safe drinking water are yet to be met with," Chandrababu said. He emphasized the fact that, through systematic aid in education, skill development, and employment opportunities, these families would also be able to gain stability and come out from the clutches of poverty. And towards this, he said, "P4 works for this very purpose.".

Driving significant social changes

Chandrababu underlined the necessity of joint efforts by stating, "The 10% of people who have succeeded considerably due to their abilities and encouraging government policies need to provide assistance to the bottom 20% for the upliftment of those. Wherever we may live, supporting people, families, groups, or regions in our homeland will enhance their standard of living." He added that the actual joy and celebration can only be achieved when the economic inequalities are decreased and overall living conditions improve.

He also emphasized consistent efforts toward welfare and development by saying, "Our vision, Swarna Andhra-2047, outlines ten principles to make the Telugu community a global leader. We are steadily working to make Andhra Pradesh No. 1 in the world."

From P3 to Global Leadership

Reflecting on past achievements, Chandrababu noted, “The reforms and policies implemented in 1995 under the P3 model created employment opportunities and generated wealth. These efforts allowed even those from farming backgrounds to rise to prominent positions worldwide. Telugus, once global citizens, are now global leaders with the highest per capita incomes, showcasing their strength on the world stage. It is our responsibility to extend the benefits of those reforms to every section of society.”

The Call for Community Action

Chandrababu appealed to the Telugu diaspora and families coming to their villages for Sankranti, urging them to draw inspiration from the Janmabhoomi of yesteryears where villages were transformed through collective efforts. "We must once again come together with that same spirit. We can make our individual successes in P4 more meaningful by discussing it and helping our neighbors. I earnestly request everyone to join and contribute," he concluded.
