Young Indian cricketer Nitish Kumar Reddy met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday at the State Secretariat. The CM congratulated Nitish for his great performance and hailed him as the A+ cricketer, hailing his achievements on the global level. As a part of the function, the cheque of ₹25 lakh was presented by Chandrababu, which was announced by the Andhra Cricket Association. He appreciated Nitish for displaying the strength and talent of Telugu people all over the world, especially his century during the Australia tour. The Chief Minister also wished Nitish to continue his cricketing career with success. The function was attended by ACA President and TDP MP Keshineni Chinni, ACA Secretary Sana Satish, and other dignitaries.
Interaction with Minister Lokesh
Nitish Kumar Reddy also met Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh on Thursday. Lokesh congratulated the young cricketer on his scintillating performance and acknowledged his contribution to represent Telugu talent on global platforms. On this occasion, Lokesh honored Nitish with a statue of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The young cricketer used the opportunity to suggest that cricket be taken into consideration in the state's sports policy to give more encouragement and support to the sportspersons in Andhra Pradesh.
