BRS Executive President K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has sharply attacked the Congress party for not doing anything on six guarantees promised at the time of election campaign. Speaking to farmers at a dharna organized in Shabad, Ranga Reddy district, KTR accused Congress of implementing only half of the guarantees and promised to stand with farmers even if it meant legal consequences or even imprisonment.

Allegations Against Congress Leadership

KTR openly criticized Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his commitment to the state and his ability to develop Delhi while neglecting Telangana. He dismissed the Congress party's claims of achieving progress in Delhi as baseless and accused the CM of failing to fulfill promises made within 100 days of taking office.

Quoting Chennamma, a resident of Kummariguda, KTR highlighted the plight of farmers under the current administration. She revealed that her agricultural loan of ₹54,000 was not waived, and she did not receive the promised subsidy of ₹500 on gas cylinders. KTR described the Congress government’s promises as empty rhetoric, asserting that their unfulfilled commitments should result in legal consequences.

Demand for Farmer Assurance

During the dharna, he pointed out to the success in the Rythu Bandhu scheme initiated during the leadership of KCR whereby the farmers had been given Rs 10,000 per acre. He bashed Congress at the dharna for not fulfilling pre-election promise with regard to farmers' aid: ₹15,000 per acre. The power had been its hand for well over 13 months.

"The money given by KCR was spent for the agriculture, now it's the same money under Congress that is being spent to gain electoral success," KTR said. He further asked people to vote out the Congress leaders in local polls due to failed promises.

More Protests Ahead

KTR announced that more farmer-centric protests are going to be done, and the next dharna is scheduled to be held on January 21 in Nalgonda. He asked the government to fulfill the promise of giving ₹15,000 per acre to the farmers and vowed to support them further.

Questioning Development Claims of Congress MLAs

KTR also attacked Chevella MLA Kale Yadayya, who defected from BRS to Congress. He questioned the contributions of Yadayya in local development and predicted by-elections in constituencies represented by defected MLAs.

Allegations of Corruption

Before dharna, KTR had made allegations that a group led by CM Revanth Reddy indulged in state-wide extortion. He described them as a "gang of robbers" who exploit their positions for financial gains.

Presence of Leading Leaders

Several political personalities attended the dharna. They included former ministers Sabitha Reddy, Mahmood Ali, and Srinivas Goud. MLAs Padi Kaushik Reddy, Mutha Gopal, and MLC Naveen Reddy are also among those who attended. Leaders like RS Praveen Kumar and Karthik Reddy were seen at the dharna.

KTR again confirmed his stand regarding fighting for farmers' rights and to bring the government to book in case of unfulfilled promises.
