Woes of the Previous Government

The governor, Justice Abdul Nazeer, cited the fact that money and resource mismanagement had affected the previous government harshly and had ravaged the economy and the infrastructure of Andhra Pradesh. While speaking at the Republic Day celebrations at Indira Gandhi Maidan in Vijayawada, he drew attention to the fact that over-borrowing, unpaid loans, and pending projects have "bled" the state's finances.

Rebuilding the State with Visionary Leadership

The Governor said Andhra Pradesh was given a hard mandate against the mismanagement through the last general election. He informed that under current leadership, he has been putting efforts to transform the state since it has such critical issues arising from mismanaged funds and unpaid debt. "We released seven white papers to reveal the economic distress of the previous government and presented a Vote on Account Budget to take stock of the eroded funds", he said.

Central Government Support and Important Programs

Governor Nazeer appreciated the NDA government under Prime Minister Modi, which had been supporting Andhra Pradesh in getting back on its feet and marching forward. Key projects were given central funds, such as the Polavaram project and Amaravati capital works revival. Packages like the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and Swarnandhra Vision-2047 are in line with the Prime Minister's vision of "Vikasith Bharat."

State Government commitment to reconstruction has restored its brand value through the increased interest of global investors at the World Economic Forum at Davos.
