BRS leader KCR attacks Congress for governance failures

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) chief K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) has criticized the Congress government, saying that it has betrayed all sections of the state. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the one-year rule of the ruling party, stating that no section of society is happy under its governance.

"I have seen many governments, but never one like this. It has failed to address the people's issues. We have been patient for 14 months, but now the time has come to launch a direct struggle against this government, KCR declared.

He said he was quietly watching but will take strong action when required. "When I strike, it will not be ordinary. I am used to hitting hard," he said. KCR reiterated that the BRS was founded for Telangana and promised that it would be a protective shield for people.

Supporters Assemble to Greet KCR in Siddipet

On Friday, leaders and activists of Bharasa from the Zaheerabad constituency of Sangareddy district met KCR at a farmhouse in Erravalli, Siddipet district. Telangana activists and Bharasa supporters from Medapalli village in Jharasangam mandal walked five days, Monday to Friday, to reach Erravalli to meet their leader.

At a close-door event, KCR spoke to his followers, giving an account of the Bharasa government's progress.

KCR Elaborates on Success Stories of Bharasa Rule

KCR remembered the several schemes that were implemented during the time of Bharasa, such as:

  • Irrigation schemes that supplied water for agriculture.
  • Mission Bhagiratha, which ensured the supply of drinking water to every household.
  • Rythu Bandhu, which continued even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Tank repairs and infrastructure development, which improved the overall growth of Telangana.

KCR Criticizes Congress for Policy Failures

Even though he warned people, KCR said that people still voted for Congress because of false promises. He criticized the ruling party for:

  • Failure to take up irrigation projects such as Sangameshwara and Basaveshwara lift irrigation.
  • Growing public discontent, with people allegedly willing to protest against Congress leaders.
  • Growing power cuts and drinking water scarcity.
  • State revenue is declining, which was increasing by ₹15,000 crore annually under Bharasa, but now it is declining by ₹13,000 crore, according to the CAG report.
  • Retired employees are not being paid on time and cases are being filed against those who are exposing administrative failures.

Demand for Huge Public Rally in February

KCR claimed that Bharasa was formed to safeguard the welfare of Telangana's people and promised that the party would win back the government in the next elections.

Victory in the next elections is ours. Let's hold a huge public meeting in February. Everyone should join, he appealed.

Notable Leaders Attended the Meeting

Some notable leaders who attended the meeting include:

  • Former Minister Harish Rao
  • Zaheerabad MLA Manikrao
  • MLA, Sangareddy: Chinta Prabhakar
  • MLA, Narsapur: Sunitha Reddy
  • Former MLA: Jeevan Reddy
  • DCMS Chairman, Sangareddy: Shivakumar
  • Former councilors and municipal leaders of Sangareddy and Zaheerabad

This was perhaps a decisive moment for the Telangana BRS political strategy as KCR launched a highvoltage campaign against the Congress regime.
