Delhi’s Development Hinges on Modi’s Leadership

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has emphasized the need for strong leadership to transform Delhi into a city that all Indians can be proud of. Speaking at a public gathering at DTU College Ground in Shahdara on Sunday night, he highlighted the capital's ongoing challenges.

Naidu admitted that India gets international recognition as a whole; however, New Delhi is nowhere near to addressing the issues about pollution and an unavailability of clean water, among others. He said he was disappointed since the city itself has not prospered while most of the countries are advancing with modernization; he also described how the change in migration habits has occurred so that people in South India do not migrate in Delhi anymore and instead seek economic opportunities there instead.

BJP's Vision for a Better Delhi

Chandrababu Naidu endorsed the BJP's manifesto, stating that it shows priority to welfare and development in the public sector. He compared the cleaning of Yamuna to the ongoing Ganga rejuvenation project, claiming that such mega projects are feasible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He lauded Modi's determination, drawing a parallel between him and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who united India with an iron will. "As Team India, Modi is working to make our country the best in the world. We must support such leadership for the betterment of future generations," he urged.

Role of Telugu People in India's Growth

Naidu said, "We must acknowledge that we are here because of the very strong Telugu community. What I see, the entire India is a reflection of his great vision in creating an AI expert in every house.".

He criticized Delhi’s governance over the past decade, comparing its current state to Hyderabad in 1995. He argued that if a double-engine government had been in place earlier, Delhi could have competed with global cities like New York and Washington. Instead, he noted, the city now faces severe pollution, prompting many to consider moving to Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Call for Political Change in Delhi

Naidu said that politics should be for the public and not for power. He gave the example of the alliance of TDP, Jana Sena, and BJP in Andhra Pradesh, saying that the reason for their governance was that they attracted ₹7 lakh crore investments within seven months. He asked the voters of Delhi to support the BJP for the same.

Speaking on Andhra Pradesh politics, he pointed out that people rejected former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, who was also forced out of office before he could enter the newly built palace he had constructed for himself. He went on to state the same people should reject Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, who was accused of prioritizing personal luxury over public welfare. Reiterating the confidence to win majorly for BJP in Delhi, just like they had done in Haryana and Maharashtra, he concluded his address.

Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Hails Chandrababu Naidu

Union Minister for Urban Development and Power Manohar Lal Khattar has lauded Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu's governance. He said that during his tenure as the Haryana CM, he sent officials to study the development strategies Naidu was following.

At the same programme, Khattar also welcomed good leadership for proper state administration. He welcomed his audience by opening his speech in Telugu saying "Namaskar", asking about the welfare of all of them. The prominent leaders attending the program include Union Ministers Rammohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, MP Lavu Srikrishna Devaraya, and BJP Delhi President Virendra Sachdeva.
