Lokesh is the Andhra Pradesh Minister; he was carrying on his deliberations in the national capital with the Defense minister Rajnath Singh. Present in the talks were Union ministers Rammohan Naidu and Pemmasani Chandrasekhar; Srinivasa Varma, MP from Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, apart from other government officials.
Centre Support For Development Of AP End
During the meeting, Lokesh pointed out several development programs being initiated across Andhra Pradesh. He requested that a defense cluster be set up in the state and asked the Center to allow the setting up of defense equipment manufacturing units in AP.
Lokesh also updated Rajnath Singh on the Amaravati and Polavaram projects and said that state was back on track on the path of development. He thanked the Central government for its financial assistance, calling it "oxygen" for the state's debt-ridden economy.
Center's Assurances
Rajnath Singh assured full cooperation and support for the development initiatives of AP and appreciated the efforts of the state while reiterating the commitment of the Central government to supporting Andhra Pradesh in its progress.
