Kannada Fans Upset Over Rashmika Mandanna's Comments

Rashmika is a face that is known and liked by audiences in South and North Indian cinema. Her recent movie entitled 'Chavaa', which came out on Friday, has become a major success, making her film career even more successful. Despite this, the comments she made during the promotion of the film at a Mumbai event have become the center of a debate concerning her recent statement in Karnataka.

The Controversial Statement

During the event, Rashmika said, "I am from Hyderabad. I feel happy seeing the love and admiration from the audience here." This will be the topic of a long conversation between the local inhabitants of the town who are very displeased with what has been said.

Several social media users from Karnataka have expressed their anger, questioning:

  • "When was it announced that Rashmika's homeland is Hyderabad? We didn’t know that!"
  • "Why can't she let people know that her home is located when she goes to other places?"

Rashmika’s Past Controversies in Karnataka

Rashmika, who hails from Virajpet, Kodagu district, started her career with the Kannadan movie 'Kirik Party' and her Telugu debut came from the movie 'Chalo'. Since then, she has been rocking the Tollywood world and she has acted in Hindi and Tamil movies as well.

However, this is not the first time she has faced backlash from Kannada audiences.

After the success of 'Pushpa: The Rise', Rashmika revealed in an interview that she got her first break after winning a beauty contest when a production house noticed her photo in a newspaper. However, she avoided naming Paramvah Studios, the Kannada production company that gave her her first big opportunity. This angered Kannada film lovers, who called for a ban on her films in Karnataka.
