Immediate Action for New Ration Cards
Revanth Reddy, Chief Minister of Telangana, has urged the officials to expedite the process of distributing new ration cards. At the review meeting with the Civil Supplies Department, he was keen on the fact that ration cards should be a common commodity for all those who are eligible. As the code for the MLC election was being observed in different areas, Reddy instructed that in places where the code did not apply, immediately distribute the issue of new ration cards.
Review of Ration Card Applications
At the meeting, the CM viewed different new designs for the ration cards. The officials reported that a large number of applications were already in their possession; among the new cards, the rest were updates. When told that some people keep submitting applications, CM Revanth Reddy told officials that it is necessary to organize public awareness so that the same mistakes can be avoided.
