CM Chandrababu Naidu: Plan To Build Balaji Temples In Every State Capital

Expansion of Balaji Temples Worldwide

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced a plan to promote the Prince of Kaliyuga, Lord Venkateswara Swamy, who is adored as the God of Kaliyuga around the world. With the support and guidance of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), Balaji temples will be set up running in all the state capitals of India. Besides, there will be Srivaragi temples in Hindu-majority cities all around the world.

Chandrababu Naidu, during the opening of the International Temples Convention and Expo, used the word “temple” to draw out the idea of a temple as a place of heritage and spirituality and thus stressed the importance of temples in preserving both the culture and the spirituality of the nation. He underlined that the existing infrastructure of temples can function quite well both as places of worship and as commercial areas, with the contribution of temple tourism significantly propelling the economy.

Modernization and Financial Transparency in Temples

Issues such as these being dealt with during the conference in Tirupati include:

  • Integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the management of the temple
  • Implementation of fintech solutions for cultural and financial transparency
  • Proper use of donations and funds collected by the temples
  • The measures that ensure sustainability of temples during the course of time
  • Security and crowd management strategies

The AI technology, which is used successfully everywhere and ensuring the quicker and better service for the people is also in the center of his attention.

Success of TTD Annadanam and Other Initiatives

Naidu expressed his happiness for the newly formed trust the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Annadanam Trust, the one which had been a mere small effort by the then CM, N.T. Rama Rao, in 1983-84 and which today has become a trust worth ₹2,000 crores, serving the millions of Devotees of Venkateswara Swamy.

Similarly, the Pranadanam Trust, launched in 2003 by Naidu, now holds ₹440 crore in funds. He reaffirmed his deep faith in Lord Venkateswara and his commitment to maintaining the sanctity of Tirumala, ensuring transparency and security in temple administration.

Technology-Driven Temple Management

To upgrade temple security and visitor access, TTD has implemented the following:

  • IVRS calls for collecting feedback received from the devotees
  • QR codes which are instrumental in the promotion of a service to the customer
  • Drones and CCTV cameras are deployed for surveillance, crime prevention, and crowd control purposes

Naidu also talked about the continuous growth of Amaravati, which is regarded as a world-class capital city of Andhra Pradesh. Special amenities for pilgrims who plan to pay a visit to the famous Tirumala Balaji temple a chance to also extend their visit to Amaravati are being under arrangement.

India’s Economic Growth and AI Revolution

Naidu praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his leadership in strengthening India's economic standing. He emphasized India's potential as a young nation and projected that by 2029, India will be the world’s third-largest economy, with aspirations to become the top global economy by 2047.

Highlighting India’s rapid adoption of AI, Naidu referred to a global survey where India led with 65% AI adoption, compared to the world average of 31%. He urged every household to produce AI experts, similar to how the IT revolution once encouraged the rise of IT professionals in Indian families.

Promotion and Preservation of Temples in Andhra Pradesh

Naidu revealed that Andhra Pradesh manages 27,000 temples, attracting 21 crore devotees annually, the highest in any Indian state. To preserve temple traditions, the government has:

  • Established Vedic committees for autonomy in Vedic and Agama traditions
  • Amended the Endowment Act to ensure representation of both Brahmin and non-Brahmin members in temple boards

These reforms aim to uphold the sanctity and administrative efficiency of temples across the state.
