CM Chandrababu: QR Codes To Be Fixed In All Buses To Obtain Passengers Feedback

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has ordered QR codes to be fixed on all RTC buses to gather passenger feedback on bus operations. Gracing a review meeting on Monday at Undavalli, he reviewed public feedback on a series of schemes, such as the Deepam scheme, ration rice distribution, RTC operations, and compost schemes.

Every department has to perform. There has to be noticeable improvement in the delivery of service. People's feedback cannot be ignored—it has to lead to corrective measures. If there is corruption or indiscipline, action has to be taken. There will be weekly monitoring, and district-wise rankings will be provided for the implementation of various schemes. Backward district collectors have to see to the proper implementation,' the CM added further.

Action Against Gas Agencies With High Complaint Rates

The Chief Minister has directed authorities to clarify complaints about free delivery of gas cylinders under the Deepam scheme. He directed a probe into allegations that free cylinders are being charged at the doorstep despite the government assurance of free cylinder delivery. Action would be taken immediately against gas agencies which are causing numerous complaints.

Some of the beneficiaries also lamented that the money for cylinder delivery is not reflected in their accounts within 48 hours. The CM emphasized that the technical issues that cause these delays need to be reviewed and addressed right away.

Providing Transparency in Ration Distribution

Feedback was also gathered on the functioning of compost preparation centers from 5,859 village garbage dumps. The survey showed that the people desire these centers to work more efficiently. The CM said that the centers were opened between 2014 and 2019 but were diluted by the earlier YSRCP government. He recommended that all centers be brought to full functioning.

In the distribution of rations, the CM directed that reports be given on the allegations of overcharging in certain pockets. The CM clarified that there must be no corruption in the ration supply and directed a detailed inquiry into problems concerning the door-to-door system of distribution.

'The government gives top priority to the welfare of the people. All officials and government personnel are required to put this into practice. We are constantly tracking public opinion on government services and will improve accordingly based on the people's feedback,' the CM asserted.
