JioTele OS: Reliance Jio Smart TV Operating System

Reliance Jio has introduced JioTele OS for smart TVs, which is tailored for Indian consumers. The company aims to make the content for smart TVs budget-friendly and boost the offer of local content. JioTele OS will offer smart TV premium features at an affordable price.

Brands such as Thomson, Kodak, BPL, and JVC will begin retailing TVs based on JioTele OS from February 21. Other brands are likely to use this platform later in the year.

Key Features of JioTele OS

  • AI-Driven Content Recommendations – The site makes content suggestions personalized with AI.
  • Seamless 4K Experience – 4K content-enabled TVs will play uninterrupted, and the experience will be seamless.
  • Integrated Access to Content – All the television channels, OTT streaming apps, and cloud gaming are controlled by a single remote.
  • Regular Software Updates – JioTele OS will be updated periodically to accommodate new apps along with new technologies.

A year ago, Jio introduced JioTV OS, which had powered Jio set-top boxes. Brands will now introduce smart TVs based on JioTele OS.

JioThings Partners with Pure EV

Jio Platforms Limited's subsidiary, JioThings Limited, has signed an MoU with Pure EV, a two-wheeler manufacturer. As part of this partnership, Pure EV will integrate JioThings’ smart digital clusters and telematics into its electric vehicles.

The company aims to enhance the riding experience for electric two-wheeler users through advanced IoT-powered solutions.
