Government’s Directive on OTT Content
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Thursday issued a formal statement regarding the indecent content on the internet.
- There have been certain complaints about pornographic and indecent content on OTT platforms and social media.
- Platforms have to adhere to the Code of Ethics under the IT Rules (2021) and refrain from broadcasting material contrary to these standards.
- Content should be suitable for the age, and 'A' rated content should not be available to children.

Ranveer Allahbadia Controversy and Legal Actions
YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia came under severe criticism for questioning a player at IGL regarding his parents and sexual orientation. His comments set off public outrage as well as anger from certain members of Parliament.

- Allahbadia approached the Supreme Court, asking for the clubbing of all FIRs.
