David Warner On His Acting Debut: 'I Was Nervous About Entering The Movies'

The new movie "Robinhood", starring Nithiin and directed by Venky Kudumula, will release on March 28. The film has Srileela playing the female lead, and in a surprising turn of events, Australian cricketer David Warner is debuting as an actor.

In commemoration of the release of the film, there was a pre-release event and trailer launch where Warner was present. He delighted fans by performing to "Adida Surprise" from the movie and also performed to "Srivalli" from Pushpa, capturing the hearts of the audience.

David Warner Shares His Excitement

While addressing the event, Warner thanked fans for the encouragement he has gotten over the years.

"I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all the love. I was apprehensive about joining the film industry at first, but the 'Robinhood' team encouraged me. I am glad and privileged to be a part of this family. The movie will be a huge success due to the team's efforts. You all will love it."

At the end of his speech in English, the director facetiously told him not to try Telugu. To that, Warner replied "I love you" in Telugu and the audience erupted into applause.

Nithiin Confident About the Movie's Success

Actor Nithiin spoke of his excitement regarding the movie, referring to his chemistry with Srileela:

"My initial movie with Srileela did not work out, but with 'Robinhood,' we are a hit pair. We will do another two movies together."

He also commended Ketika Sharma for her act in the song "Adida Surprise" and valued Mythri Movie Makers, deeming them among the best production houses, who are releasing four big projects in a just 12 days.

Nithiin attributed the success of the film to Venky Kudumula and referred to him as a "God-given brother." He also added a touch of humor to his speech by saying:

"I actively contributed to the campaign. As an actor, I will receive all the awards, including the Oscar!"
