28 Years Later is a forthcoming post-apocalyptic horror film directed by and produced with Danny Boyle, and written by Alex Garland. The follow-up to 28 Days Later (2002) and 28 Weeks Later (2007), featuring Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes. The film has returns by Garland, Boyle, and cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle to the franchise, all of whom were involved in the making of the original 28 Days Later film, with the star of that movie Cillian Murphy also acting as an executive producer.
It was filmed back-to-back with its sequel 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple directed by Nia DaCosta, written by Garland, and produced by Boyle and Garland.
It will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing in the United States and United Kingdom on 20 June 2025.
