Bhutan PM Praises Narendra Modi's Leadership

Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay described deep respect for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an "elder brother." At the 'Soul' Leadership Conclave in Delhi, Tobgay talked about his own life, admitting that he had no faith in his leadership abilities when he initially took office.

He looked back at his time in India as a student and noted how he learned valuable lessons on leadership from Prime Minister Modi, whom he referred to as one of the world's greatest leaders. He noted that this was a critical period in his life.

The last ten years have seen India make lightning-fast progress under Prime Minister Modi’s able guidance. Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay recognized Modi’s wisdom, courage, and foresight in making India one of the leading global players. He was of the view of the people that true leadership is not just about holding a title but about the right vision coupled with the right perspective.

Looking back, Tobgay said the greatest leaders did not only refer to heading a nation or an organization—leadership had even extended to head a revolution and bring about monumental growth. He praised Modi's ability to change India and take the country to new heights.

Importance of Leadership in Indian Development

Talking about the occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the role of leadership in fulfilling the vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India). He emphasized the significance of the School of Ultimate Leadership in shaping the future leaders who will be able to contribute towards policymaking and governance all around the world. 

Modi highlighted the importance of human resources in nation building.He stressed that focusing on individual development leads to individual success, but taking into account the welfare of others helps in creating many leaders who can drive the nation forward.
