Trump’s Talks with Russia in Saudi Arabia
Allegedly, the ex-U.S. President Donald Trump talked Russian officials in Saudi Arabia out of money in return for peace or to end the fighting between Russia and Ukraine. In the meeting, Trump wiped out a direct line between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that the only possible way of bringing the conflict to a halt and saving lives that have not been saved is that he participates in a meeting and deals with this matter.
Trump also unfolded the fact that Ukraine would possibly settle the issue of working with the United States on mineral resources as one of the several conditions.
U.S. Military and Economic Aid to Ukraine
Trump unveiled that the U.S. has backed Ukraine with thousands of war weapons and a lot of money since the outbreak of the crisis. Trump argued that the U.S. government, ruled by President Biden, generated a large amount of money while supporting Ukraine. In return, Trump said that he asked Ukraine to give U.S. companies the opportunity to extract natural resources there.
Trump revealed that Zelensky was willing to accept this request. Another fresh report from a UK newspaper has that Trump proposed to give $500 billion to Ukraine in order to obtain rare earth minerals.
US-Russia Diplomacy Without Ukrainian Involvement
The United States and Russia initiated talks in hopes of ending the war. Both nations' foreign ministers met at the first session of talks without any representation of Ukraine. Preliminary meetings saw no presence from the leaders in Ukraine.
For his part, Zelensky indicated that he would respect whatever decisions were made in these talks, even though Ukraine was not a party to them. Trump's Deflection on Zelensky and the War Trump later called Zelensky a dictator after the meeting. Trump undermined Ukraine's claim that Russia had occupied its land. Trump argued that Ukraine could have put an end to the war after decades if it had given up some land in the early stages. Trump accused Ukraine of keeping the war ongoing and asked why no talks were undertaken in the past three years to prevent the bloodshed that was taking place.
