Not Even A Captain Like Dhoni Can't Do Anything With The Pakistan Team: Sana Mir

Pakistani cricket did not do well against India in the Champions Trophy and got divided opinions from former cricketers. Former women's team captain Sana Mir was one of the recent critics, but she attributed the main issue to poor team selection.

Poor Team Selection to Blame

Sana Mir believed that even the greats such as MS Dhoni or Younis Khan could not lead the current Pakistan team to a win. She revealed that as the game was on, a friend texted her when India was at 100/2, saying that Pakistan had already lost. In her view, Pakistan's defeat was evident as soon as the team was announced.

Criticism of Selection Committee

"The choice was not made under the rules. The moment the 15-man team was named, it was like Pakistan had lost half the matches in the tournament," Mir said. She also accused the selection committee for dropping key players who had played in the recent series against Australia and South Africa.

Meanwhile, Pakistan lost to India and New Zealand in the Champions Trophy. Following these defeats, the team pulled out of the remaining matches.
