Sandeep Reddy Vanga: I Would Like To Make A Film Without A Hero

Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Unique Approach to Filmmaking

Sandeep Reddy Vanga has gained a big fan following through his movies. With only his debut film, he received praise in Tollywood as well as Bollywood. Still, his movies are always criticized for the underplaying of male characters. His movies even took a toll on female characters to the point of being pushed behind, as claimed by some critics. Now, the director himself made an interesting comment—plans to make a movie without a hero.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Response to Criticism

In a recent YouTube interview, Sandeep spoke about the criticism for his films. In that conversation, he was asked:

"Would you rather make a film without songs or a film without a hero?"

He replied without any hesitation:

"I would like to make a film without a hero. But even if I do that, those critics who are complaining about my films won't appreciate it. If I do write this script, I will make the film within 4-5 years. Then people will say, 'Sandeep made an announcement years back, and now he has followed through on it.'"

Upcoming Project: 'Spirit' with Prabhas

Presently, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is preparing Spirit, starring Prabhas. Refuting rumors regarding its box office chances, he expressed that it would not break Baahubali's records. He admitted that making ₹2000 crores is a monumental achievement. Yet, he highlighted that the film is a good project and success depends on the audience.
