'Kannappa' is an upcoming Indian Historical drama Telugu-language film, directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh and produced by Mohan Babu. The film is made based on Kannappa, who was a Shiva bhakt in Hindu legend. The movie features Vishnu Manchu in the lead role.Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam,Raghu Babu, Preity Mukhundhan and Madhoo appear in supporting roles, along with Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar (his Telugu debut) and Kajal Aggarwal in significant cameo appearances.
The movie was officially released on 18 August 2023. The principal photography commenced on 25 September 2023 in New Zealand. Stephen Devassy wrote the original score and songs.The film had biggest stars in Indian Cinema such as Mohanlal, Prabhas and Akshay Kumar did not accept any payment for their cameo appearances which was stated by actor Vishnu Manchu in an interview.
