Another security alert was issued this week by the Indian government, this time aimed at Samsung Galaxy smartphone customers. A security alert has been posted by the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) that details many vulnerabilities impacting millions of Samsung Galaxy phones, encompassing both older and newer models.

The security advisory, which was published on December 13, highlights how urgent it is for existing Samsung phone owners to update their phones' firmware or operating system immediately and categorises the problem as high-risk.

"Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Samsung products that could allow an attacker to bypass implemented security restrictions, access sensitive information, and execute arbitrary code on the targeted system," CERT wrote in its report on vulnerabilities.
