Airtel Expands IPTV Services Across the Country

Top telecom operator Airtel has expanded its IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services to 2,000 Indian cities. The company wants to improve the viewing experience by providing IPTV on bigger screens. Airtel is going to launch these services shortly in Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam, and the northeastern states.

Airtel IPTV Features and Pricing

Airtel's IPTV offerings consist of 600 TV channels, high-speed WiFi, and popular OTT platforms access like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, SonyLIV, and Zee5. The services begin at a price of ₹699. Subscribers who book a connection via the Airtel Thanks app will get a free trial of 30 days as part of a promotional offer.

Airtel Pays ₹5,985 Crore in Spectrum Dues

Airtel and its unit Bharti Hexacom have made an advance payment of ₹5,985 crore towards spectrum dues. The company wants to lower liabilities and costs by paying in advance for the 2024 spectrum auction. Airtel has already paid ₹25,981 crore in the ongoing fiscal year and ₹66,665 crore in total to the government so far.
