ICC Rankings: Gill And Pandya Among Top Players, Duffy Leads In T20 Bowling

Team India cricketers have been out of international action over the last fortnight. Yet, some of them continue to be at the top of ICC rankings, while others have dropped marginally. In T20 bowling, New Zealand's Jacob Duffy (723 points) has reached the pinnacle, becoming the first Kiwi paceman to reach No.1 rank in any format. He jumped four spots to become the No.1 ranked bowler. Earlier, Ish Sodhi was the only New Zealander to achieve the No.1 rank for his country in 2018, but he was a spinner. In the current T20 bowler rankings, Akeal Hosein (707 points) and India's mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy (706 points) have both slipped one place to second and third positions, respectively.

Hardik Pandya Tops All-Rounder Rankings

Indian sensation Hardik Pandya (252 points) remains atop the all-rounder rankings. Interestingly, no other Indian player is among the top 10 of this list. Axar Patel (161 points) is placed at 12th.

Indian Batters Excel in T20 Rankings

India boasts three batters within the top 10 of the T20 rankings. Abhishek Sharma (829 points) is ranked second, while Tilak Varma (804 points) ranks fourth. Suryakumar Yadav (739 points), a veteran batter, ranks fifth. Australia's hard-hitting power-batter Travis Head (856 points) sits atop the ranking.

Shubman Gill Continues at No.1 Ranking in ODI Rankings

Indian cricketer Shubman Gill (784 points) continues to top the ODI batting rankings at No.1, followed closely by Pakistan's Babar Azam (777 points). India captain Rohit Sharma (756 points) is ranked at the third position and Virat Kohli (736 points) ranks fifth. Shreyas Iyer (704 points) ranks eighth.

Indian Bowlers in ODI Rankings

India also has two players in top 10 ODI bowler rankings. Kuldeep Yadav (650 points) has gone up by one position to the third position, and Ravindra Jadeja (616 points) has gone up by one position to occupy ninth position.
