Punjab Kings' leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal said that he is worth the ₹18 crore price his team paid for him in IPL 2025. Until now, in the three games played, Chahal has only managed a single wicket and has not made a big difference on the pitch.
Talking on social media, Chahal addressed the criticism of his form. He stated, "Punjab Kings have played three games and won two. The tournament has just begun, and I am still finding my rhythm. Individual performance comes second. Even if I don't get a wicket, I won't mind if our team wins the title. Team success is more important to me.". I feel I'm worth the price I got this season. Once I am on the ground, I don't care how much I was purchased for or what people talk."
Not Worried about India Comeback, Chahal Enjoying His Cricket
Chahal also made a comment on his comeback to the Indian national team, mentioning it's something he cannot help. He stated that he is simply enjoying his cricket these days.
"I am not thinking about coming back to Team India right now. It's not in my hands. I was also not in the complete squad last year, yet I got into the T20 World Cup side. So, I don't want to put pressure on myself by looking too far ahead. I'm looking to play and go one step at a time," he furthered.
Happy for Kuldeep Yadav's Success
Chahal also complimented spinner and good friend Kuldeep Yadav by stating that the latter is currently the best wrist spinner in the world. Chahal opined that he was glad to see Kuldeep performing well consistently.
