Hyderabad startup Ankuram Pure has come up with high-end energy storage solutions aimed at avoiding power supply interruptions in houses and enterprises. The firm has launched two products:
- Pure Power Home (3-15 kV) for domestic applications
- Pure Power Commercial (25-100 kV) for business use
Further, a 4 MW Pure Power grid for industrial purposes will become operational next year, informed Nishant Dongari, Managing Director and Founder of Ankuram Pure.
Product Launch and Price
The products were launched in a Tuesday event by Dr. VK Saraswat, member, NITI Aayog, and Eugene Huang, Chairman of CIS&T SI.
Price Details:
- 3 kV Pure Power Home – ₹74,999
- 5 kV Pure Power Home – ₹99,999
- 15 kV Pure Power Home – ₹1,74,999
They can be charged using solar energy, hence providing an environment-friendly option. According to Dongari, the power storage systems are capable of supporting all the household appliances like air conditioners, refrigerators, geysers, and even elevators.
Availability and Expansion Plans
- Bookings Open: April 1
- Deliveries Begin: April 30
- Dealer Expansion: 300 dealers to be recruited in 18 months
- Production Capacity: 200 MW annually presently, set to expand to 6 GW within five years
- Investment Plans: ₹200 crores are raised until now, and investment of ₹400 crores for the next 4-5 years is planned
Electric Transport: A Prescription for Sustainability
Dr. VK Saraswat made it a point to underline how electric transport became an indispensable dimension in India's economic and green future. He pointed out how solar and wind energy can be complemented by EVs with a potential to drive:
- Economic growth
- Job creation
- Carbon emission reduction
EV adoption is expected to become 30% by 2030, and India needs to cut 200 million tons of carbon emissions by 2047. Saraswat called for the participation of startups in making India a global EV hub.
