Hyderabad-born tech brand Mivi launched its new product—Mivi AI—conversational artificial intelligence technology that is capable of understanding and responding to human speech with exceptional contextual precision. Built using in-house tech and driven across different Mivi devices, this AI project is a major milestone for the R&D activity of the firm.
The launch was conducted by Midhula Devabhaktuni, Co-Founder and CMO at Mivi, and referred to the project as a quantum leap in user interaction with the help of AI. Powered on the basis of a Long Language Model (LLM) and fueled with Natural Language Processing (NLP), Mivi AI has been created to read user intent, mimic conversational tone, and react sensibly across several Indian dialects.
Conversational AI Crafted with Context Awareness
Mivi AI is unique in that it's capable of mimicking human-like conversation. Devabhaktuni says that the system applies cutting-edge Natural Language Processing to understand emotional context and cues. This allows the AI to deliver responses not only correct but contextual in nature, taking into consideration the intent of the user. The system is programmed to acquire several dialects, therefore becoming more inclusive in India's diverse linguistically platform.
The device is also pre-fitted with an innovative wake word—"Hi Mivi"—set to wake the assistant for verbal communication. Using this feature enables consumers to give commands naturally without physically touching the device. The company asserted that this innovation made it join lists of global tech giants that previously introduced smart wake words in AI solutions.
Mivi Devices' Integration
Mivi AI has already been implemented in some of the company's offerings, such as wireless earbuds, smart wearables, home security cameras, and other IoT-enabled products. The company's strategic direction is to integrate artificial intelligence as an integral and effortless part of consumer electronics, not just making them more functional and customized for consumers but more as well.
The project involved over 100 engineers and represents a significant investment of ₹86 crore. This substantial resource allocation underscores Mivi’s commitment to innovation and long-term technological leadership in the consumer electronics segment.
Scalable AI for Broader Applications
The management of Mivi stressed that the AI technology has applications beyond individual devices. The Mivi AI has been designed scalable to be used in smart home systems, customer service interfaces, and other applications for businesses in the future. This makes the brand a contender in the larger artificial intelligence solutions marketplace.
Through a focus on crafting a customized experience with AI, Mivi looks to revolutionize the way that humans engage with technology. Whether through voice commands, emotional sensing, or dialect recognition, the AI adjusts its output based on how humans naturally speak.
Positioning for Growth and Future Innovation
Mivi's venture into chatbot AI is part of a broader vision to redesign user engagement with intelligent, responsive technology. Co-founder and CEO Vishwanath Kandula said the firm is eyeing ₹300 crore in revenue for fiscal 2025–26, following its ₹250 crore record in the last fiscal. With more than 1,500 employees and a fast-growing product platform, Mivi is on the path to becoming a category leader in consumer electronics where AI is employed.
Mivi AI is not only an upgrade of its products, but also a revolution in how intelligent devices interact with human beings. The more that individuals use it, the more emotionally intelligent smart devices the firm foresees to influence technology in the future.
