Shehbaz Sharif Responds To Pahalgam Terror Attack: Pakistan Ready For Neutral Investigation

India-Pakistan Relations Heats Up After Pahalgam Attack

Relations between India and Pakistan have escalated after the terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Some Pakistani ministers have been frustrated with the recent actions of New Delhi. Now, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has made a public statement regarding the crisis, asserting Pakistan's intention to assist in an honest investigation into the Pahalgam attack. He focused on the fact that Pakistan is ready to face any challenge.

Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Transparent Investigation

Shehbaz Sharif gave a speech at a graduation ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the growing tensions. In his words, "Our country is once again in the limelight after the Pahalgam tragedy. We are prepared to hold an impartial, transparent, and credible inquiry. Peace is our top priority." Sharif also criticized terrorism, employing the message of peace as his defense.

Sharif Addresses Indian Prime Minister's Comments

Sharif indirectly reacted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent remarks on eliminating terrorism. He announced, "We will not compromise on the security and sovereignty of our country. We are well equipped to confront any threat." Sharif criticized India's move to suspend the Indus Waters Treaty, stating India is the one responsible for generating tensions. To him, "India should not take unilateral actions. These steps create a war-like situation. We want to resolve conflicts through dialogue."

Information about the Pahalgam Attack

In the Pahalgam terrorist attack, 26 people were murdered on April 22. Indian security forces are suspecting 'The Resistance Force,' an outfit associated with Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, behind the attack.
