In what is likely to be the last meeting of its sort before the elections, the prime minister urged his ministers to "go all out" and win the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.

WHAT IS 'VIKSIT BHARAT 2047' PLAN?

PM Modi has made multiple references to "Viksit Bharat," which is the plan to make India a developed country 100 years after it gained independence.

The roadmap for 'Viksit Bharat' is the result of over two years of intense preparation, according to news agency PTI, which cited government sources. It involved a "whole of government" approach comprising all ministries and extensive consultations with state governments, academia, civil society, scientific organisations, industry bodies, and youth mobilisation for input.

The sources continued, "It is a thorough outline with a well-articulated national vision, goals, action points, and aspirations." Its objectives include infrastructural development, social welfare, business facilitation, ease of living and doing business in India, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

At different levels, there were almost 2,700 meetings, workshops, and seminars. More than 20 lakh young people submitted suggestions, according to one official.

At the conference on Sunday, representatives from various ministries discussed their thoughts on the 'Viksit Bharat 2047' plan. Additionally, presentations on various topics were given.

Prior to this, Prime Minister Modi had instructed his cabinet members to draft "actionable, measurable, and clearly defined plans" for the incoming administration.

Prior to the meeting, Prime Minister Modi declared on X that he had given the BJP Rs 2000 as a "party fund" in order to forward his "Viksit Bharat" strategy.

"I'm glad to support BJP India and bolster our initiatives to create a Viksit Bharat. Along with a receipt for his payment, he tweeted, "I also encourage everyone to participate in #DonationForNationBuilding via the NaMoApp."

The prime minister has stated time and time again that his administration will return to power for a third term in office. In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he has set a goal of 370 seats for the BJP and more than 400 for the ruling NDA alliance.
