Rapido, a brand name well known for its cab booking service, is ready to venture into the new food delivery segment. As per reports, the firm is planning to launch its food delivery services in Bengaluru within the next few weeks.
Bengaluru in Its Firing Line
Swiggy and Zomato are currently the leading players in India's food delivery space. Rapido appears to be taking them on by introducing its own offerings. Rapido is said to be in negotiations with well-known brands like KFC, Pizza Hut, quick-service restaurants, and cloud kitchens to increase its food delivery platform.
Pilot Program Details
Firstly, Rapido's food delivery shall be pilot-based. It will cover some of Bengaluru's selected regions so that the company can pilot and fine-tune its operation before it gets scaled.
