At its Sanand factory, Tata Motors has achieved the production milestone of one million units. At this location, the business began operations in 2010.
The 1,100-acre Sanand facility employs over 6,000 people directly and indirectly. It also includes a 359-acre vendor park.
The facility has an assembly line, paint shop, press line, weld shop and powertrain shop in addition to a lean process management system.
The Sanand plant is well-known for producing a range of passenger vehicle (PV) models, including the Tiago, Tiago AMT, Tiago.ev, Tiago iCNG, Tigor, Tigor AMT, Tigor EV, Tigor iCNG, and Xpres-T EV. It also boasts a flexible assembly line.
"We are incredibly happy to have produced our one millionth vehicle at our Sanand facility. This facility's ability to quickly adapt to market demands has been crucial in supporting our growth narrative in India. "This accomplishment demonstrates our dedication to our clients and the high standards we set for ourselves," stated Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.
