For the forthcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh, the BJP concluded its seat-sharing agreement with Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party (JSP) and Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday.
The seat-sharing deal states that the TDP would run for 17 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh, while the BJP will run for six. The remaining two seats will be contested by the Jana Sena Party.
The TDP is vying for 144 seats in the Assembly elections, while the BJP is vying for 10 seats. The Jana Sena Party, led by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan, is running for 21 seats.
The Lok Sabha elections and the Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled to take place at the same time.
The Telugu Desam Party, Jana Sena, and the Bharatiya Janata Party declared on March 9 that they would run jointly in the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections.
Chandrababu Naidu met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on March 8.
