Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka Assures
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka again said the government would deliver Rythu Bharosa as promised during the election campaign. This year's budget has budgeted Rs. 72,659 crore for the agriculture and allied sectors.
The Ministerial Sub-Committee on Rythu Bharosa headed by the legislator Bhatti Vikramarka discussed on Sunday at Secretariat. Ministers and the committee members, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, plus officials were brainstorming and fine-tuning the processes of screening for the Yasangi season. They taken two hours for this after considering insights gained from its experience implementing Rythu Bandhu scheme and feed-back garnered from their visits across the State.
Important Decisions by the Sub-Committee
- The sub-committee will finalize the procedures of the Rythu Bharosa insurance scheme soon and release it in public domain.
- Bhatti Vikramarka said that during Congress governance in the first year, Rs. 7,625 crore was credited to the accounts of farmers for 1,57,51,000 acres under Rythu Bharosa in January 2023.
- The state government will pay the premium amount for crop insurance and life insurance schemes, saving them a huge amount of money.
Support for Agricultural Growth
The government has sanctioned Rs. 133.50 crore for increasing oil palm cultivation to achieve the target of one lakh acres in the 2024-25 season. This would help the agriculture sector grow in the long run and support farmers in the short run.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the Government is committed to the betterment of farmers and argued that timely support and investments in agricultural development are paramount.
