Actress Renu Desai emphasized the extra ordinary efforts of Savitribai Phule to promote women's education during a Women's Teachers' Day program organized by Bharat Chaitanya Yuvajana Party (BCY). She said that a programme, in Vijayawada on the birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, to Celebrate her contribution to women's education.
"I generally keep away from politics. However, I chose to attend this program because it honors Savitribai Phule's birth anniversary. The reason I can speak confidently today is because of her efforts. She dedicated herself to women's education," said Desai. She also emphasized the significant responsibility of teachers in shaping student's life. "Children often form stronger bonds with their teachers than their parents. Teachers bear the responsibility of making students valuable contributors to society."
The program had the presence of the renowned actor Brahmanandam, BCY party president Ramachandra Yadav, and Delhi University professor Suraj Mandal. Awards were distributed to female instructors who showed great service as an appreciation for good teaching.
It was a ceremony that celebrated Savitribai Phule's lasting impact on women's empowerment and education. It recognized teachers as key stakeholders in societal growth.
