Sankranti Buzz Among Farmers' Families With Coalition Government: Nadendla Manohar

Nadendla Manohar, Minister of Agriculture, has declared a landmark success in grain procurement during the coalition government. He claimed that the payments are being transferred to the farmers' accounts within 24 hours after grain collection. So far, over 27 lakh metric tons of grain have been procured till Sunday. It reflects the government's efficiency in supporting farmers.

Key Highlights:

  • Efficient Payment System: Payments are received within 24 hours after collection of grains; this way, the waiting time of farmers is highly reduced.
  • Record Procurement: 27 lakh metric tons of grain was procured, supporting 4,15,066 farmers during Kharif season.
  • Better Support: In contrast, the YSRCP government could procure grains only from 2 lakh farmers and failed to support the mass farming community.

Minister Nadendla Manohar said the direct deposit of ₹6,083.69 crore into farmers' accounts has been a huge financial boost. He also targeted the previous regime for inefficiency in disbursing payments on time to farmers.

"The coalition government has brought Sankranti cheer to farmers' families with its effective policies," he said, highlighting the administration's commitment to agriculture.
