An engaging interaction unfolded between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nara Lokesh during a gathering at the assembly premises. Before taking the stage, Modi spent a few moments conversing with Lokesh in the green room, where ministers were greeting the Prime Minister.

The Conversation

As the ministers formed a queue to pay their salutes to Modi, he turned toward Lokesh and stopped. Lokesh, responding to his gesture, paid him a salute and Modi responded in a lighthearted manner, "There's a complaint against you. You know about it, don't you?" He pointed in the direction of Chandrababu Naidu, who stood nearby and continued, "It has been six months since your government took charge. Why haven't you come to Delhi to meet me?"

Then, Modi lovingly patted Lokesh on the shoulder and continued, "Come with your family and come see me." Lokesh responded with alacrity, "I will come and meet you, sir."

In this short warm exchange, a glimpse of friendship between the two leaders was there, giving some idea of how they lighten their political engagements.
