Bhatti Vikramarka Announces Extended Opportunity For Telangana Caste Census Survey Participation

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka commented on the scientific methodology and processes used on the scheduled caste survey. He stressed that qualified inquirees had the chance to partake in the survey for the first time. The loud voice of those individuals will be heard and they will get a chance to answer the survey during the 16th to 28th days of this month. The Deputy Minister also added that the participation of the survey was gaining importance for the state census.

Upcoming Legislation on BC Reservations

Bhatti Vikramarka disclosed that the state cabinet will pass a resolution for 42% reservations for Backward Classes (BCs) in the first week of March. This is part of the plan of the government as they will be introducing the bill in the Legislative Assembly to bring it into law. After being processed at state level, the bill, along with the caste census form, will be sent to the central government. Bhatti mentioned that he will apply pressure to the central government to avail it of the opportunity to pass in Parliament.

Commitment to OBC Rights

Vikramarka, the Deputy Chief Minister, pointed out the government's negotiations with leaders of political parties to provide reservations for Other Backward Classes (OBCs). "Our aim is to fulfill the ongoing demands of OBC communities," the minister of the ruling party claimed. He was clear about his determination to be actively engaged in the likes of double-dealing for the reservations. "My/our opinion is above the political parties interests," Bhatti stressed.
