
Strengthening The Defense Of India Against Border Threats
Due to the border tensions which have arisen along with the neighboring countries, the U.S. has taken a significant step forward in the defense of India. Ex-Chief Donald Trump pointed out that the U.S. is ready to offer the sold advanced F-35 stealth fighter jets to India. This comment was made in light of the fact that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Trump met in the U.S. during Modi’s visit. The trade and financial cooperation, diplomatic relations, and defense issues were the primary topics of their conversation, after which the two leaders spoke to reporters at a joint press conference.
Major Trade and Defense Agreements on the Horizon
Trump gave prominence to the deepening of the U.S.-India relationship with trade and defense collaborations.
- "The U.S. and India are about to conclude important trade agreements. A big announcement is on its way," Trump said.
- "India will take more oil and gas from the U.S. Soon we are coming at military equipment sales like as the F-35 stealth fighter jets as well," he said.
India Eyes $500 Billion Trade Target with the U.S.
Modi also presented his concept of creating a deeper economic partnership with the U.S.:
- "We strongly feel that the trade agreement will be signed soon and will be favorable for both nations," he voiced.
- "We will support energy trading with the U.S. and our goal is to see $500 billion bilateral trade by 2030,"
India’s Position in Global Conflicts
Having discussed the continuous actuality of the situation around the world, the Prime Minister clarified India's role in the Russia-Ukraine war and the problems in West Asia.
- "India does not take a neutral stand on any war. Jerusallum is our passion," Modi informed the audience.
- "I have explained clearly to Mr. Putin that the present is not war-oriented time anymore. We back the treaties that are signed by the warring parties in a bid to resolve the conflict," he pointed out.
MAGA Meets MIGA: A ‘Mega’ Partnership
The Indian Prime Minister associated with Trump's famous campaign put the initiative for India, which is called 'Maga-Mit', on the front.
- "I am also promoting Make India Great Again (MIGA)," Modi said.
- "If MAGA and MIGA align, it will create a ‘mega’ partnership," he remarked confidently.
