Khushi Kapoor, the youngest daughter of the late actress Sridevi, is making strides in the film industry. Determined to carve out her own identity, she is now set to act in the sequel to her mother’s final film. Producer Boney Kapoor confirmed this news at the IIFA ceremony.
Boney Kapoor Announces ‘Mom 2’
At the event, Boney Kapoor fondly remembered his wife, Sridevi, and spoke about his daughters, Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor. He mentioned that both are following in their mother’s footsteps in the entertainment industry.
Discussing the sequel to Mom, he stated, “I have watched all the films Khushi has acted in so far. She delivered impressive performances in The Archies and Love Yaapa. I plan to work on a film with her soon, possibly Mom 2. Khushi draws inspiration from her mother and is working hard to establish herself. Sridevi became a star in every language she worked in, and I hope both Janhvi and Khushi achieve similar recognition.”
About Sridevi’s Last Film ‘Mom’
The 2017 release Mom has been directed by Ravi Udyawar and produced by Boney Kapoor. It not only was the first time, but also the only film in Hindi and Telugu and it received a lot of good reviews which is a good thing. Sridevi’s unforgettable portrayal was recognized with a National Award for Best Actress honors after her death.
