'Karate Kid: Legends' Movie Release Date

'Karate Kid: Legends' is a forthcoming American martial arts drama film directed by Jonathan Entwistle and written by Rob Lieber. With a plot set three years following the conclusion of the last season of the series Cobra Kai (2018–2025), it is the sixth installment of The Karate Kid franchise, following The Karate Kid (2010). It features Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio, both who reprise previous roles, while Ben Wang appears as the main lead for the first time together with Joshua Jackson, Sadie Stanley, and Ming-Na Wen. It is the initial movie in the series not directed by Jerry Weintraub, who passed on in 2015.
The movie was announced to be in production in September 2022, where Entwistle will direct and Lieber will write the script in November 2023. It is a sequel to the original series of the franchise that star Macchio and the 2010 film that stars Chan, combining them together with Cobra Kai within one common universe.Casting occurred between November 2023 and April 2024. The production occurred between April and June 2024.
Released by Columbia Pictures, 'Karate Kid: Legends' will be released in the United States and Canada on May 30, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
